Who We Are
Promote the Vote Ohio is dedicated to increasing voter participation and civic awareness in communities with historically low voter engagement by building authentic relationships, fostering community partnerships, and delivering accessible voter education. Our approach centers community trust and engagement by meeting people where they are through nontraditional outreach methods, including food distribution, social gatherings, and mutual aid opportunities. By integrating civic education into spaces of care, connection, and community support, Promote the Vote Ohio empowers residents, strengthens community voice, and helps build a culture of sustained civic participation.

Our mission is to work with community partners to co-create on-ramps and pathways to increase participation among community members who have been historically disengaged, marginalized, or excluded from democratic processes and policymaking. Our goal is to explore, potential actions and approaches that work to foster a sense of belonging, increase community engagement and participation, and build a movement for inclusive democracy in Ohio.
